Brief
In this particular project, I was given the task of rebranding Iowa, a state commonly referred to as the "flyover state". The assigned deliverables included posters, billboards, and an advertisement poster, with each having a specific theme to adhere to - namely tourism, innovation, and agriculture. Similarly, the billboards also had to be designed around the themes of innovation and agriculture.
Challenge 
The primary challenge involved developing distinctive methods to showcase the various themes while ensuring a cohesive overall aesthetic.
Goal
My objective was to present Iowa in a manner that had not been explored previously. The state's conventional portrayal as a desirable place for raising a family was merely scratching the surface, and Iowa deserved to be represented in a more nuanced and comprehensive manner. It was imperative to disassociate Iowa from the "flyover state" label and highlight its unique attributes and offerings.
Unique Solution
To address these challenges, I opted to utilize satire to emphasize the key elements of each theme. Given Iowa's reputation for taking itself too seriously, injecting a touch of humor was essential in creating a more approachable and lighthearted image. I employed puns and playful illustrations to underscore this more whimsical tone.
